American Structural Engineering (ASE) was an MBE sub-consultant to WSP for 2021 Biennial Inspection of George Washing Bridge and NJ Approach Tunnel Structures. ASE provided one full Team for this project.
Project Details:
ASE team performed the field inspection for the upper and lower level of the suspended spans of the bridge, main cables, suspended cables, steel towers, underside of upper and lower-level framing, critical and special emphasis members, updated all the inventories, structural and safety immediate priority maintenance items. All structural and safety immediate priority maintenance items are checked in the field to make sure they are addressed and repaired; if not the inspection team re-issues the priority items and document the condition with description and photos. In addition, the inspection team prepared the inspection report using the Port Authority format and NYSDOT format for all the field inspection finding and deterioration. In addition, The ASE team inspected the NJ approach structures, bridge structures, sign structures, Luminary lights and Mast Arm light Towers.
